Good afternoon everyone. First the Word of the Day is Course? What does course mean to you ? What does it mean when a course is chartered? Today is Think About Yourself Thursday, and we are going to get a little uncomfortable, What is one way you have taken the wheel from your Higher Power when it was clear he had control? Let’s take it one step further what is one way you give control of the wheel back ? Hope you all are having a blessed day . Thank you for inviting me to continue on this beautiful journey with you all .
”For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.“
James 1:3-4 NLT
”I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”“
John 16:33 NLT
”And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.“
1 Peter 1:5-7 NLT
This reading is very clear to me now today .
We need to Quit taking the wheel from him. We say we have given him the wheel but yet we keep taking it back and trying to steer. He gets us on the path we need to be on and it’s just not quick enough, doing enough so whether we realize it or not we grab it back. He is reminding us yes we can take the wheel back but then we are the one piloting the journey. When we are behind the wheel and experiencing turbulence if we keep trying to push through it what will happen? When he has the wheel and yes there will be turbulence at times but has he not been with us and successfully navigated us out of every episode of turbulence in our lives . Who can’t get us out of Turbulence without him? US. Today’s reading is very clear Give him the wheel back! He has been clear to us how do we feel best about ourselves and others although it includes us feeling the pain , doing the work , being uncomfortable, and following the course charted for US ? He is telling us it is not a coincidence we feel in our groove after doing the work ( staying in the work )and feeling the pain. He is saying so we can take the easy way out ( which in all reality is not) or we do the Work, Feel it , Work Through it, and then look around to see if there is anyone we can assist with seeing that it is more than ok to be co-pilot. And sometimes it is more than ok to be on auto pilot , in all reality if we are truly allowing him to pilot the journey are we a co-pilot or are we on auto pilot allowing ourselves to be on the journey he has already charted out and programmed in for us?
Love you all have a great day on Auto Pilot.

God, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit and for making a way for me to live by Your Spirit. You are so kind to bless me with Your presence. I don’t want to take that for granted. So, starting today, please teach me how to live in step with You. Give me confidence, boldness, and discernment as I seek to follow You wholeheartedly.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God, thank You for creating the beauty around me. All of it is a miraculous display of Your creativity and kindness. You didn’t need to create any of this, but You chose to. Help me to appreciate what You’ve made. Keep showing me how You’re at work in the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God, being self-disciplined can be challenging—sometimes it’s tiring or painful. Please help me identify the aspects of my life where I need better discipline and empower me to change for the better. Give me the strength to endure the challenge, and help me to remember Your promises.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Father, thank You for calling me and equipping me to serve You and Your kingdom. I do not understand why You have chosen me for the life You have given me, but I ask that You empower me to faithfully serve where You have placed me. Protect my heart from envy over those whose path seems easier, and let me not lose compassion for those whose struggle is greater. In Jesus’ name, amen.
My Father, who art in Heaven, I rejoice in your name and thank you for believing in me to honor your grace. The debt I owe to you and to your son, Jesus Christ, can never be fully repaid, but I ask that you use me as an example to all around me so that they may know you as I do. I pledge to avoid temptations, O God, and commit myself to a sober, righteous, and godly life. I pray all of this in your name, Amen.
Dear God, thank you for the hope I have in You even through trials. Please help me to have Your perspective as I experience difficulties in life. I trust You to achieve good things through my struggles. Thank you that even when my world is unsteady, I can always be confident in You. Amen.
