Have a Blessed Fig Tuesday in Family

Good afternoon to you all. This is Holy Week and today is Holy Tuesday know as Fig Tuesday filled with Faith not Doubt.

”Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.“

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today’s word of day is Hope. What does Hope mean to you ? Who does Hope get extended to? What is Hope intended for?

Two really three things speaking to me today but only going to touch base on one right now.

What does the word family mean to you ? Will dig in here more in a moment. In the words of the Great Maya Angelou

“Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what”.

Maya Angelou

These people in our life support us, make our life richer, teach us, grow with us and inspire us . Whether blood or not they become a very important part of our life and really us. True family is found in the Hearts in Unconditional Love , Care, and Acceptance for who we are. Family may or may not be biological but accepts us and Loves us for who we are. These people in our lives have seen our potential and who we really are. Ok, so this hit today True Family is found in the Hearts of Unconditional Love, Acceptance and Care. Some of you may or may not agree with this but Watch This: if the above is true and Unconditional Love and Acceptance is required to fit the bill for the Title of Family. Watch This! Are you truly family with yourself? Do you accept yourself unconditionally? Do you Love yourself Unconditionally? Do you care for yourself? Is it possible to have a true family that represents the name if we can’t in ourselves? Only you can answer that. So if we truly want to be part of a family we must find it in ourselves first . In ourselves not a facade or mask. How do we do it ?next time you run down that hall through whatever means you do to run, hide, disassociate, cover look who is right there with you of course in addition to your Higher Power. Take a chance to introduce yourself to that person and get to know them . Let them know it’s ok there is no need to run from you , you are safe and by doing this you have started the work . Then once you have established a safe connection ask why are we running? What are we running from? Why are we the only two at the end of the hallway? What do we need to do continue un peeling us? The onion will not unpeel itself. Are you Family with you ? Are you willing to do the work? Love you all . Have a Blessed Tuesday in Family and Community.

Daily Prayer’s

God, I confess I often do all the talking, and I don’t always expect or listen for an answer. Thank you for always paying attention, always listening, and always ready to respond and give guidance. Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening. Please give me ears to hear what You are saying. Amen.

Father God, thank you for caring about every detail of my life. Forgive me for spending so much mental energy worrying about circumstances I can’t control. I give each pressing situation to you. Please work in miraculous ways. Thank you that I can trade my anxieties for your peace. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

God, place a specific person in my path this week who needs You. Fill me with boldness and grace to share Your mighty name. Use me to plant a seed, and I trust You with the growth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God, thank You for giving me a place in Your church, and for using me to share Your good news with others. Help me to understand where You are leading me, so that my plans may align with Your plans. If I should seek a different course, please gently direct me to where You want me to go. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The faith that we have in God should compel us to come to him boldly, the way a child would run to his or her father – full of love and totally devoid of fear. God desires that we be close to Him. He doesn’t want us to treat him like a faraway entity. That’s not what He is.

He is an ever-present Father who cares for every aspect of your life.
