Happy New Year ! Hope you all are having a great New Year. If you celebrated and/or still are celebrating hopefully you are in Community. As we go into the New Year it is essential for us to Truly accept that we can not control anyone but ourselves in any way shape or form ? If you feel the need to control someone for what they do , their behavior ask yourself why is that you feel the need to control the other person? Why do you feel like you to need to express to other person they need to change ? What makes you think you need to change and/or fix them ? Is the reason you want to change them because they have demonstrated repeated behavior and are telling you who they truly are ( even if they don’t know it) ? Is the reason you want to change them the person staring at you in the mirror? We need to be truly honest with ourselves on the answers to these questions and accept the Truth. We have to truly accept we can be supportive to others but we cannot and should not try and change them, which we will not be successful at. They have to be willing to do the work themselves , you can not do it for them and honestly you will not be successful at it. We need to be supportive, Loving, Caring, Honest, Compassionate,Respectful and then most importantly hand it over to our Higher Power. Then Trust your Higher Power and the process. Which is your Higher Powers process not yours . Once we hand it over to our Higher Power and truly do the work it is no longer in our hands. Surrendering it to our Higher Power means we open our hands to him and release it. Now this certainly means you can still and are encouraged to pray to your Higher Power for them. But you cannot control them or the process of your Higher Power . So let’s start 2024 the right way out working on controlling the one person we can with our Higher Power which =You. There is someone you can control. Not our mission to control or change others. We are meant to be in community and Love each other let’s get out there and do it One person at a time in 2024! God, thank You for being the creator of all things. You hold the entire world in Your hands and still care for me. I have hope for today, knowing that You designed me on purpose for a purpose. Let me reflect Your power to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God,

We thank You for all that You’ve done, and we look to the future with hope.

Our world is full of brokenness that only You can mend, so we pray for opportunities to boldly proclaim the hope we have in You.

We pray for believers all over the world—that they would be unified in You, loving and supporting each other.

In all things, help us to fix our hope on You this year.

Give us strength to persevere, courage to share Your good news, and peace in knowing that You are always with us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God, I’m grateful that when I seek You, You promise to let me find You. Thank You for being my guide and constant help. I pray that, every day, I will begin to know You more and more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, thank You for using me to share the good news of salvation with others. I ask that You continue to speak to them and nurture them. May Your grace be fully revealed to those who are lost, and may Your Spirit build up those who know You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

What can we do with this responsibility? There is a lot of pressure on us to perform to God’s standards if He created us for His glory. What if we fail? What if we let Him down? Our God is merciful. We cannot let Him down if we try. If we ask, He will listen. If we knock, He will open the door. He made us to please Himself, so with that in mind, how can we fail? We cannot!

All of our accomplishments, ALL of them, are for God’s glory. All of our failures are too. I am certain that we have all felt a calling from God at one point or another. Focus on that love, the glory of God, to find your higher purpose. Trust in Him, and be proud in knowing that all that you do, the good and the bad, is for His glory. Amen.
