Good afternoon everyone. Hopefully you all are enjoying the weather today. Praying for all those recovering from the storm. Special Thanks to Alexander Kaplan for the Beautiful Photo. Today is High Five Friday please locate your closest mirror preferably with a door that closes – if possible close the door – look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a High Five smile then say I Love you. Now repeat and do the same for your Higher Power. Last step: share your High Five Friday with someone. Today’s Word of the day is Ant 🐜. We are going to take
a different perspective on Ants today.
Ant as defined by Marriam-Webster.com-
any of a family (Formicidae) of colonial hymenopterous insects with a complex social organization and various castes performing special duties.

How does an Ant build a home? Why do I ask this ? So we can see our similarities to the Ants in completing tasks. The Ant can provide us a great deal of knowledge on how things get accomplished. The Ants work together in a Colony( Community) as one to complete their homes. They take one particle at a time and move it to where they want it to be to build their foundation. They do not move more than one particle at once and do not stop working as a unit. We are a I want it now society and that’s too late. Why not take a lead from the Ants and work together on whatever it is one step at time .
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Psalms 133:1 NIV
The Ants do not go in and build a bridge overnight. Why do we? We want it now. When in all reality tackling the task one step at a time may take some more time but the reward will still be there on a firm foundation. We can take a big bite of a task at once and we may or may not continue with the task at hand. We may look at the task and say there is a mountain I am going to go tackle all at once but once it comes time to tackle it that does not occur. We then tell ourselves we must complete this task and then the same thing happens. Now we tell ourselves this will be done and you guessed it doesn’t get done but now there is Guilt and Shame tied to the task. Now we are determined to tackle it with Guilt and Shame tied to it but yet again does not happen. See the cycle here when we are going to tackle a task all at once but that doesn’t occur but now we have Guilt and Shame. Why not take a lead from the Ants’ work in Community and tackle that mountain one step at a time versus not stepping a foot on the mountain and just staring at it.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:”
Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIV
Your task/ goal may take you a little longer but now it is actually actively in progress and not sitting in a corner with Guilt and Shame. The next time you are pursuing a task/goal ask yourself how would the Ant attack it? We can’t eat an apple all at once, nope done one bite a time. Have a Blessed Friday Night. Love you all . Love your Higher Power, Love Others.
