Good afternoon everyone. It’s High Five Friday, Give yourself, Your Higher Power a High Five and share some Love with a friend . This was intended for Think about yourself Thursday but didn’t get out yesterday ; however, you can still do it today ,What is one thing that you do to better yourself today ? How could this be helpful/supportive to someone else ? Today’s Word of the Day is Support. What does Support mean to you ? How does it affect your life ? Today’s verse below was hitting at me.
“You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God’s gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.”
There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn salvation because it has already been given to us and this is not something we can give to ourselves. It’s a gift not a reward. We can’t work on our way to salvation and /or towards our Higher Power salvation is there as gift along with his presence. I saw this today and wanted to share it :
Every lifeguard knows you can’t save people as long as they are trying to save themselves. If somebody is drowning and flailing around in panic, a lifeguard knows to just stay back for a few seconds and wait until that person gives up. Because if you try to save others while they’re trying to save themselves, they will pull you under, too.
When they finally give up, they relax; you put your arm around them and just swim back to shore. It’s really quite easy.
Why do I mentioned this ? Because how many of us are treading water trying not to drown when he is right there saying give it to me . Surrender it to me , while we try all we can to stay afloat and possibly taking others down with us. He wants to save us from our hurts , pain , habits , compulsions, hang ups and addiction . He wants us to stop flailing and allow him to swim us to shore . You Cannot Make Anyone Swim to Shore but yourself with God. Now, you can definitely be pulled under by others and possibly pull others down yourself . Release, stop the flail and allow him to guide you safely to shore. If someone is flailing they have to want and allow the help before anyone can come to their aid. He wants to save us for his purpose and by his Grace but We Have to Quit trying to do it alone . Have a Beautiful Blessed Friday . Love yourself , Love others , Love your Higher Power. You are never alone . Love you all .

Dear God, guard my heart against the endless craving for more. Help me find contentment beyond possessions. Help me to redirect my focus to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else. May my life reflect Your purpose and fulfillment. Amen.
Lord, help me steward Your entrusted gifts faithfully. Guide me to serve, pray, and care for others, keeping vigilant as I await Your return. Amen
Jesus, thank You for Your perfect love. Because You are more than enough for me, I know I have nothing to fear. Thank You for reassuring me of Your love each day. I know my love is not perfect, and I sometimes make mistakes—but I know Your love for me does not depend on what I can do. Help me to love You and others better each day.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Lord, thank You for sustaining me each day. As I prepare for the day’s work, I ask that You would sustain me through the day. Give me enough to do to earn my keep, and provide for me this day. I know that nothing in this life is guaranteed, so teach me to trust in You each and every day, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Let your words be rooted in the word, so that you can edify yourself and you can edify those around you.
