Happy Easter

Good Morning all, Hope you all can Enjoy this Glorious Day in Community. Happy Resurrection He Has Risen . Happy Easter. Today’s Word of the Day is Celebration. What does that word mean to you ? How does the word celebration make you feel ?

”Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen me in action, you don’t really believe me. Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don’t let go. I came down from heaven not to follow my own agenda but to accomplish the will of the One who sent me.“

‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭35‬-‭38‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Daily Prayer’s

The New Testament makes it clear that we have to do something to accept the gift that God offers. This is an act of faith. John writes that ‘God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life’ (John 3:16).

Believing involves an act of faith, based on all that we know about Jesus. It is not blind faith. It is putting our trust in a Person. In some ways, it is like the step of faith taken by a bride or a bridegroom when they say, ‘I will’ on their wedding day.

The way people take this step of faith varies enormously, but I want to describe one way in which you can take this step of faith right now. It can be summarised by three very simple words:

‘Sorry’

You have to ask God to forgive you for all the things you have done wrong and turn from everything which you know is wrong in your life. This is what the Bible means by ‘repentance.’

‘Thank you’

We believe that Jesus died for us on the cross. You need to thank him for dying for you and for the offer of his free gift of forgiveness, freedom and his Spirit.

‘Please’

God never forces his way into our lives. You need to accept his gift and invite him to come and live within you by his Spirit.

If you would like to have a relationship with God and you are ready to say these three things, then here is a very simple prayer which you can pray and which will be the start of that relationship:

Lord Jesus Christ,

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life (take a few moments to ask his forgiveness for anything particular that is on your conscience). Please forgive me. I now turn from everything which I know is wrong.

Thank you that you died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free.

Thank you that you offer me forgiveness and the gift of your Spirit. I now receive that gift.

Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit to be with me forever.

Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

God, thank You for Your faithful love! I can’t lose it. I can’t earn more of it. Your love is more limitless and abounding than I could ever imagine. Thank You for freely giving it and teaching me how to freely love others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father God, thank You for giving me Your Word. Scripture is brimming with truth and life, and I never want to take that for granted. I know that I am easily distracted, but I also know that You give me the strength to persevere. Show me how to meditate on Your Word so that I don’t disobey You. Teach me to prioritize my relationship with You above everything else. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God, I want to become more like You. Help me to be quick to love, serve, and encourage others the way You do. I want others to see You through the way I live my life. Please guide me each day and align my actions, words, and thoughts with Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, thank You for the love that You poured out on me even though I don’t deserve it. Please fill me with Your love so that I may love my neighbors fully and freely, the way that You love me. Rid my heart and mind of all bitterness and jealousy, and give me new eyes to see others instead through Your love. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God remained faithful to the children of Israel, even after they turned their backs on Him. Whenever they cried out to Him, God would help them. Even if they had hurt him in the worst ways, he continued to come back.

When we are faced with daunting situations, we need to fall back on these truths, and on the word of God, realizing that God is with us and He will strengthen us no matter what.
